Here’s something you don’t see everyday, Don Barnes and 38 Special jamming in a casino lounge. My band at the time was playing the lounge of the Dakota Magic Casino in Hankinson, ND. 38 Special was doing a concert in the event center and afterwards came to our show. Don (Guitar), Bobby Capps (Keys), and Gary Moffatt (Drums) really agreed to sit in. I’m left handed so Larry Junstrom (Bass) couldn’t use my guitar and I got to play with them. I was told by their stage manager that in the 15 years he had been with them, Don had only gotten up with other bands twice before and wouldn’t do “Hold On Loosely”. They were a fantastic bunch of guys and extremely talented players.
